Back in September 2012 we reported that continued growth within the business has meant that we have had to extend the factory further beyond the initial extension that was added last year.
This new extension was intended as a new storage area to allow us to make better use of the main production areas and streamline operations.
The original intention was to have everything up and running by the end of 2012. This was always going to be a challenging deadline and frankly it was deferred to ensure we could still maintain a high quality of service while the re-organisation took place.
So after a challenging time, we are now pleased to announce that the new storage facility is now in place and the production areas are now fully re-orgnised as originally envisaged.
This new setup has involved the installation of two new machining centres: a KTM Fleximatic 5 axis CNC machine with a 1600mm bed and a Mazak Lathe with a 1000mm b.c. and 550mm swing which is also 4 axis with live tooling capability.
The new machine installations, as part of this development, have extended the production capabilities of the business overall providing us with more options to offer on hydraulic cylinder manufacture and repair.
Managing Director Gary Davison said: 'This new facility is an essential component in the development of The Cylinder Service Centre, providing the space and flexibility for further growth in the near future.'
