The Cylinder Service Centre Ltd.offers hydraulic cylinder repairs and related services to players large and small in the manufacturing and off shore industries throughout the UK. Whether it be hydraulic cylinder manufacture , electro-plating , on-site repairs , or the supply of chrome plated bar and honed tube , the company has the expertise and capability to react swiftly and without fuss to the needs of industry.

Its premises have expanded from a 1,500 sq ft unit to a 13,000 sq ft unit & now in a purpose built 24,000sq.ft unit with reinforced floors and multiple overhead travelling cranes. This facility is built on it`s own secure hard surfaced two acre site with excellent accessibility and comunications adjacent to the A1 motorway

Meanwhile, service levels and the ability to be at the forefront of key technical developments in the industry have provided vital impetus for expansion. The company can boast a unique hydraulic stripping rig which produces 150,000 ft lbs of torque. as well as one of the largest honing machines in the UK. In addition, there are state of the art testing rigs for all mediums and pressures

Changing Needs

The demise of mining and heavy industries in recent years has brought about substantial changes in the hydraulic repair industry yet the Cylinder Service Centre has responded by meeting the changing needs of industry.

It currently has the capability of accommodating all the needs of our customers in the offshore and shipping industry and is confident of gaining substancial contracts there over the next few years.The way this will be achieved is by continued investment.There are already plans to further develope our 2 acre site in Washington making it one of the largest facilities of its type in Europe.
